THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) LIONS EYE over-raced in the early stages. c) INDECENT PROPOSAL over-raced in the early stages and thereafter was baulked for a clear run in the concluding stages. d) At the 50m, Jockey K Strydom (MUSIC IS LIFE) accidentally dropped his crop. e) In view of the performance of LIONS EYE (7.30 lengths, 8/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Jockey K Strydom reported that MUSIC IS LIFE took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) DEFINITELY YES, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead was advised (DZ).
