THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KLIPTOWN and FAST TRAIN jumped slow, losing one length. b) OCTOBER STORM jumped inwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h15) b) Jockey R Fourie was unable to ride OCTOBER STORM to the finish when awkwardly placed on the outside of WINTER PEARL and close to the heels of KELP FOREST at the finish. c) In view of the performance of MOODY BLUE, the Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. d) FAST TRAIN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
