Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MASTER COINER was restless in the stalls.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h46)
b)	Shortly after the start, FREQUENT TRAVELLER was squeezed out and made contact with the 	hindquarters of READY FOR THE ROAD when carried out by MASTER COINER, which shifted out 	leaving the stalls.
c)	Leaving the 800m CHARLIE BUCKET had to be checked when racing on the inside of FATE OF 	PACE, which raced wide on the turn and shifted in when insufficiently clear. During this incident, 	MASTER COINER and FREQUENT TRAVELLER were momentarily inconvenienced.
	Apprentice EJ Muller was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of FATE OF 	PACE, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to CHARLIE BUCKET leaving the 800m. 	Apprentice EJ Muller signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 	7 days. (Dates to be advised)
d)	In view of the performance of FREQUENT TRAVELLER, the Veterinarian was requested to examine  this gelding.
e)	CELESTIAL ROCKET returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary 	haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of 	The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J de Villiers). Trainer E 	Steyn was advised.
f)	Apprentice S Bungane was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline G on the 	use of the crop) in that he struck CELESTIAL ROCKET when this gelding was out of contention for a 	place. Apprentice S Bungane signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000,00.
g)	Apprentice EJ Muller was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline G on the 	use of the crop) in that he struck FATE OF PACE when this filly was out of contention for a place. 	Apprentice EJ Muller signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000,00.
h)	MUTINY IN HEAVEN (IRE), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J 	Crawford was advised. (SC)

a)	Nil.

THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED.

a)	FREQUENT TRAVELLER - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected.
b)	CELESTIAL ROCKET - bilateral epistaxis. Suspended 60 days. Rule 93.1 applied.
