Stipes Report
THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NKANDLA GOLD jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) STAGE ONE jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) TIGER STORM was slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) At approximately the 900m, NKANDLA GOLD was carried out by BELL OF ANGELUS, which commenced to over-race. c) Apprentice T Mayhew felt something amiss with ZOOMBOMBER and eased this gelding out of the race from the 200m. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. d) In view of the Veterinarian's report concerning ZOOMBOMBER, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer C Spies was advised. e) DADS DREAM, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R Klaasen was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) ZOOMBOMBER bilateral epistaxis, recommended 60-day suspension. Trainer C Spies was advised (MB). b) NKANDLA GOLD blowing post-race. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
