THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	EDWARD LONGSHANKS (R Munger) fly-jumped leaving the stalls dislodging Jockey Munger.
b)	WHO'S THAT STAR (C Habib) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	As the start was effected, EDWARD LONGSHANKS (R Munger) fly-jumped, throwing its head violently sideways dislodging Jockey Munger.  Thereafter approaching the 150m, GIN AND TONIC (J P van der Merwe), IMPOSING ANGEL (L Mxothwa) and MONEY FIGHTER (S Khumalo) suffered varying degrees of interference when the riderless EDWARD LONGSHANKS ducked outwards in the concluding stages.
	Jockey Munger was stabilized by the Course Paramedics at the start, transported to the Medical Centre and thereafter referred to hospital for further examination and observation (Rule 25.12 applies).	   
b)	DOUBLE MAGIC (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Assistant Trainer A Peter advised (LN).
c)	ALLES LES BLEU (AUS) (*K A Brewer), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Assistant Trainer J Dhlamini advised (MdP).

JOCKEY CHANGES:
