Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MIDNIGHT BADGER (*K Strydom) was restless in the stalls and lost one length. b) ALFONSA SPAGONI (*C Dicken) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 250m, MASTER KEEKU (G Wright) and BEVOETERD (C Zackey) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the heels of HAMPTON COURT (T Godden) which shifted out away from the crop. Jockey T Godden signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of HAMPTON COURT, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to BEVOETERD (C Zackey) and MASTER KEEKU (G Wright) at approximately the 250m. Accordingly, a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days was imposed. (Suspension dates to be advised) b) DISPICABLE (*R Venniker) was hanging out from the 400m. c) PURPLE OPERATOR (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D C Howells advised (HM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) TRUE BRIT was ridden by Jockey M V'Rensburg (advised 21.05.22/9h19). b) BEVOETERD raced with a compression mask. c) HIPPOCRATES raced with a compression mask.
