THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SILVER FLARE (*N Nastili) took an awkward stride in the concluding stages. b) Jockey N Klink reported that WHISTLEDOWN took a number of awkward strides in running . In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) In view of the performance of PLAY WITH FIRE (S Khumalo), (distance 26,80 lengths, betting 7/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) TEO TORRIATTE (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
