THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start for all runners. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ANGEL OF WAR (M Yeni) did not stride out freely in the running and did not persevere with his riding from the 400m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) PEWTER SKY (T Godden) was hanging out in the concluding stages. c) Between the 400m and 250m, RUNNING RIFLES (S Khumalo) was switched out on two occasions to obtain a clear run. d) Approaching the 200m, MR MOLOMY (S Moodley) which hung out and SPY MASTER (W Kennedy) which shifted out, came together and brushed. e) VOLDEMORT (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
