THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Approaching the 150m, while attempting a narrow run between SWIFT ACTION (K Steyn) and BALTIMORE JACK (O Noach), BLUFF ON BLUFF (K de Melo) brushed the hindquarter of BALTIMORE JACK (O Noach), which was turned outwards. As a consequence, BLUFF ON BLUFF (K de Melo) had to be steadied for a number of strides.
b)	TCHAIKOVSKY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised. (SC)
