THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JAVA HOUSE (*S Sosibo) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) DARK TIDE (*M K Katjedi) proved difficult to settle in the early stages and as a consequence, raced awkwardly around the turn. b) RIDGE TO REEF (*M H Zuma) hung in from the 400m. c) Apprentice J Solomons reported that VOYEUR made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) LETSDOIT (*P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S Moffatt advised (DR). When questioned regarding the improved performance of LETSDOIT, Trainer Moffatt explained to the Board that this gelding had not appreciated the Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse in his last start and was of the opinion that he is better suited to the Vaal. JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) VOYEUR raced equipped with blinkers (declared 21 June 2022 at 07H05). b) TRUST THE FIRE raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind (declared 15 June 2022 at 13H41).
