Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	SEA MASTER (T Godden) was stubborn to load. Trainer C Hewitson was advised to re-school this gelding. 
b)	RODRIGUEZ (C Zackey) lost one length. 
   
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	Shortly after the start, MR MOLONY (S Moodley) was bumped inwards by SEA MASTER (T Godden) which jumped in. 
b)	TRADE WAR (*C Dicken) over-raced in the early stages. 
c)	Approaching the 1000m, RODRIGUEZ (C Zackey) and RUNAWAY SONG (K de Melo) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the inside of PAPA C (T Gumede) which had to be steadied in anticipation of SEQUOIA (K Matsunyane) rolling inwards. 
d)	In the concluding stages, SEA MASTER (T Godden) was carried out by RUNAWAY SONG (K de Melo) which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately straightened. 
e)	Apprentice R Venniker reported that BRISTOLBEAUFIGHTER took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.   
f)	Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with LADY SERENA in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
g)	In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning LADY SERENA, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Stable Employee V Ndlovu acting for Trainer P Lafferty advised.  (Suspension Dates : 25.07.22 - 22.09.22, bdi). 
h)	RUNAWAY SONG (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J S Snaith advised (NS).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES :
a)	RODRIGUEZ Jockey C Zackey weighed out at 55.9kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight of 55kg.
