a)	SUPER FAST (S Veale) was slow into stride. 
b)	SEWELO (*R Venniker) fly-jumped leaving the stalls. 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	VICKERS VISCOUNT (S Moodley) failed to muster speed and raced detached from the field throughout. 
b)	At approximately the 350m, ROCK N ROLL GIRL (C Habib) had to steady momentarily in anticipation of being awkwardly placed on the heels of SMITH AND WESSON (*J Solomons) which shifted both ways from the crop when racing green. 
c)	STANLEY PARK (A Mgudlwa) was hanging in from the 300m. 
d)	At the 150m, ARBITRATOR (R Munger) had to steady when awkwardly placed between BAAZIGAR (R Khathi) which was hanging in and SMITH AND WESSON (*J Solomons) which continued to shift both ways from the crop in the concluding stages.
