THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STAR CHOICE (M Yeni) lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) GREEN DREAM (M Mjoka) was baulked from the 500m to the 350m. Thereafter, at the 350m, GREEN DREAM (M Mjoka) had to steady when awkwardly placed between TWICE THE TRIP (C Habib) which rolled out and LUNA ECLIPSE (*R Venniker). b) GIN AND TONIC (*M Katjedi) was hanging in from the 300m. c) Jockey M Yeni (STAR CHOICE) reported that the saddle slipped back in the running. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. d) Jockey S Moodley reported that ANGEL OF JUSTICE took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Apprentice S Hlengwa reported that LUNDY ISLAND did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) In view of the performance of TWICE THE TRIP (C Habib) (20.30 lengths, 8/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) DESERT PRIDE (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
