THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 150m TWICE THE MASTER (O Noach) had to be checked away from the heels of KEEP SHINING (L Tarentaal) which initially shifted inwards and ducked out sharply away when Jockey L Tarentaal (KEEP SHINING) changed his crop into his left hand. Thereafter, NOTHINGELSEMATTERS (JP van der Merwe), which was improving on the outside of KEEP SHINING (L Tarentaal), was carried outwards approaching the 100m. b) In view of the performance of INCREDIBILL (S Khumalo) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Jockey G Behr reported that PIKETBERG ALLEY coughed. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) FUTURISMO, unplaced, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WA Nel was advised. (TJ) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) K de Melo rode +1kg of which 0.5kg was declared (53.9kgs) RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER a) Nil THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) PIKETBERG ALLEY - examined post-race.
