Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAIRON (C Habib) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 300m IDEAL TIME (L Mxothwa), which was hanging in, rolled out and brushed WAR MAN (S Khathi), became unbalanced and rolled in and made contact with the hindquarters of ALMAS TOWER (*P Mxoli), which in turn became unbalanced. Thereafter, IDEAL TIME (L Mxothwa) continued to hang in and had to be straightened approaching the 50m. b) In view of the performance of CAIRON (C Habib) which gave ground to the field from the top of the straight, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Trainer K Naidoo was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.1.1 in that he declared Jockey W Agrella to ride WAR MAN without obtaining his prior consent. Assistant Trainer L Gila, acting on behalf of Trainer K Naidoo, signed an Admission of Guilt and Trainer K Naidoo was fined R1000,00. d) WAR MAN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
