THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRINCE TYRION (K Sakayi) lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) PRINCE TYRION (K Sakayi) was hanging in around the turn, proving difficult to assist. Thereafter, at the 150m, PRINCE TYRION (K Sakayi) continued to hang in and was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of WINTER BARON (R Fourie). b) NORTHERN WARRIOR (*R Venniker) was hanging out from the 150m. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with WINTER BARON and that this gelding made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss with STEVIE GEE in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) NORTHERN WARRIOR (*R Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M L Roberts advised (NS).
