THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	RAISETHEREDLANTERN (*S Sosibo) was nervous in the stalls.
b)	BLONDE ACT (R Fourie) and THE CARPENTER (S Khathi) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race.
b)	BETHEL (M Yeni) hung in from the 300m and proved difficult to ride when under pressure in the latter stages.
c)	Between the 300m and the finish PICTURE THE MOMENT (K Minnie) shifted out away from the crop and had to be straightened on two occasions. Jockey K Minnie appeared before the Board and was advised to take the necessary corrective measures to keep his mounts on a straight line so as not to cover unnecessary ground in similar circumstances.
d)	In view of the performance of RAISETHEREDLANTERN (*S Sosibo) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	PICTURE THE MOMENT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)
