THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ABSOLU NOIR (E Webber) was stubborn loading. b) RAINING AGAIN (*KA Brewer) was nervous in the stalls. c) WINTER ASSEMBLY (X Ndlovu) rushed the front gate. d) EXCELSIOR (TM Musekiwa) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) DISPLACE TIME (S Khathi) proved difficult proceeding to the start and had to be led by a Handler, causing a delay. Trainer JVA Strydom was advised that should this gelding behave in a similar manner in future engagements, he may be suspended. b) Shortly after the start WINTER ASSEMBLY (X Ndlovu) was momentarily unbalanced when brushed on the hindquarters by DISPLACE TIME (S Khathi). c) NOTORIX, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JP Nel was advised.
