THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MITCH GOT HIS WISH (J P van der Merwe) hung out around the turn. b) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with DOCKOFTHEBAY in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) MARDI GRAS (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F P Habib advised (AH).
