Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CASTLE TIME (R Khathi) was restless in the stalls, taken out, checked by the course veterinary surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded. b) SANGRIA'S RUN (G Behr) was restless in the stalls and jumped slow, losing two lengths. c) RIVANO (K de Melo) jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. d) FOREVER BILL (M Yeni) reared in the stalls. e) AXL (G van Niekerk) jumped outwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) NEGOTIATOR (*R A Venniker), which raced green, shifted in away from the crop approaching the 100m and had to be straightened. b) RIVANO (K de Melo) gave ground to the field shortly after the start and finished tailed off. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding CASTLE TIME (R Khathi), Trainer M Robinson will be advised to have this colt re-schooled before his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding SANGRIA'S RUN (G Behr), Trainer DM Kannemeyer will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled before his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. e) BLUFF ON BLUFF, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
