THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CORNER CRUSADE (R Fourie) was difficult and stubborn to load. Trainer G Rich was advised to re-school this filly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Jockey J Gates reported that PRINCESS TEA did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) Shortly after the start, WINTER JOURNEY (M Yeni) and in turn, ACACIA'S BLOSSOM (K de Melo) were carried out by NOBLE STORM (*R A Venniker) which jumped out leaving the starting stalls. c) At the 1000m, NOBLE STORM (*R A Venniker) and WINTER JOURNEY (M Yeni) briefly raced in restricted room on the inside of CASA ROSADA (A Mgudlwa) which rolled in and thereafter shifted out. d) At the 900m, NOBLE STORM (*R A Venniker) improved onto and was eased off the heels of PRINCESS TEA (J Gates). e) ACACIA'S BLOSSOM (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
