THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ELMHURST (M Thackeray) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) MONTANNA BAY (K Derere) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MONTANNA BAY (K Derere) was hanging out from the 400m. b) TESTIFY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer T Mason advised (GP). JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) TESTIFY is a gelding (21/07/22). Trainer T Mason was charged with a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1 in that within 2 business DAYS (excluding Saturday, Sunday and public holidays) of the event, he failed to give written notice to the Chief Stipendiary Steward of the SB in the RACING DISTRICT that TESTIFY had been gelded. Trainer Mason signed an Admission of Guilt and a penalty of a Warning was imposed. b) MONTANNA BAY (K Derere) raced with earmuffs on. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER. a) Nil.
