THE STARTER REPORTED: a) YOUNG LOVE (G van Niekerk) stood awkwardly in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 200m EVENING PRIMROSE (M Yeni) and a tiring YOUNG LOVE (G van Niekerk) had to be steadied when tightened for galloping room between SHE'S A RAINBOW (L Mxothwa), which shifted out marginally and BLACK SILVER (R Fourie) which rolled in away from FLEETING (K de Melo), which was hanging in. b) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with FLEETING. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) TIME FLIES, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford was advised.
