Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	KING REGENT reared on two occasions, dislodged Jockey M Yeni, was taken out, examined by the course veterinary surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay. 
b)	KING REGENT (M Yeni) and BENJAMIN (G van Niekerk) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	At the 150m TRANSACT (G Behr) was bumped inwards, made contact with SUN DAZED (A Domeyer) and had to be checked when racing on the immediate inside of LET IT BURN (K de Melo). As a consequence, SUN DAZED (A Domeyer) was unbalanced. During this incident LET IT BURN (K de Melo) was steadied, losing momentum and thereafter was carried in marginally by ELUSIVE TRADER (*J Solomons), which rolled in and had to be straightened. An Inquiry will be held into this incident.
b)	Leaving the 400m POLTERGEIST (R Fourie) was unable to secure clear running on the inside of THE SECOND WAVE (L Mxothwa) and thereafter had to be steadied when tightened for galloping room on the inside of KALAHARI FERRARI (C Habib), which rolled in and had to be straightened approaching the 100m.
c)	In view of the report from the starter regarding KING REGENT (M Yeni), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 20/11/2022 to 26/11/2022 inclusive). KING REGENT may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
d)	KING REGENT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GS Kotzen was advised. (TJ)
