THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GIMME MORE TIME (K Matsunyane) pulled hard in the early and middle stages. b) Approaching the 100m GIMME MORE TIME (K Matsunyane) was unable to secure a clear run between SCALINI (C Orffer), which rolled out and KITCHAKAL (K de Melo), which shifted in away from the crop. Thereafter GIMME MORE TIME (K Matsunyane) was switched in to continue its run. c) Approaching the 50m Jockey S Veale (TOTHEMOONANDBACK) had his crop struck from his hand by Jockey K de Melo (KITCHAKAL). d) SCALINI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer VH Marshall was advised.
