THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ALLEY OF FACT (D Ashby) was stubborn loading and had to be hooded, causing a delay.
b)	JEWEL CAT (C Bantam) was restless in the stalls.
c)	FLASH LIGHTNING (K Steyn) jumped slow, losing one length.
d)	GIMMELIGHTNING (G van Niekerk) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	POMPEI WARNING (G Behr) took an awkward stride shortly after the start.
b)	AVIGNON (L Mxothwa), which raced green, had to be steadied away from heels of FLASH LIGHTNING (K Steyn) at the finish.
c)	MANCHESTER FIGHTER (C Habib) was hanging out throughout.
d)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding JEWEL CAT (C Bantam), Trainer SJ Snaith will be advised to have this colt re-schooled before his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
e)	In view of the report from the starter regarding ALLEY OF FACT (D Ashby), this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 28/11/2022 to 04/12/2022 inclusive). ALLEY OF FACT may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
f)	Trainer PAW Botha was charged with a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1, in that he failed to give written notice to the local office of the National Horseracing Authority within 2 business days that LORD MILORI had been gelded. Trainer PAW Botha signed an admission of guilt and was fined R250.00.
g)	GIMMELIGHTNING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (SC)
