Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WHAT NOW MY GAL (+B Thwalani) was stubborn loading, causing a delay. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, ROCK ON TOMMY (+A Ndlebe) and WHAT NOW MY GAL (+B Thwalani) were severely cramped for galloping room between NOT IN DOUBT (+L Geledu) and BARNBOUGLE (+S Booi), both of which shifted ground leaving the stalls. b) In view of the performance of ELECTRIC FEELS (+A Xabendlini) (Betting 3/1 ; Distance 8.25) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Work Rider C Dixon was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 in that he used his crop in a manner which was in contravention of the conditions of the Race, by striking RAFIKI on one occasion when his crop hand was off the reins. Work Rider C Dixon signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one (1) Work Rider race. d) In view of the report from the starter regarding WHAT NOW MY GAL (+B Thwalani), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 28/11/2022 to 04/12/2022 inclusive). WHAT NOW MY GAL may not be presented for re-passing during this period. e) Trainer SJ Snaith was charged with a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1, in that he failed to give written notice to the local office of the National Horseracing Authority within 2 business days that FUTURE TURN had been gelded. Trainer SJ Snaith signed an admission of guilt and was given a warning. f) FUTURE TURN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised.
