THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PIPER'S CREEK (*J Solomons) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. b) DESTINED TO DANCE (O Noach) jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, SUNLIT FROM HEAVEN (L Mxothwa) cast its right front shoe on the way to the start which had to be replaced, causing a delay. b) Jockey G Wright reported that CHELSEA GARDEN did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) SOFT TOUCH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GS Kotzen was advised.
