a)	PAPER TRAIL (J Jacobs) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	During the canter past, CAPTIVE MOON dislodged Jockey JP van der Merwe and cantered back to the parade ring, was taken in hand, examined by the course veterinary surgeon and passed suitable to race.
b)	Jockey R Fourie reported that POLTERGEIST tired quickly from the 200m and he did not persevere with his riding from the 150m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
c)	Jockey C Habib reported that MOON ROCK did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	ENSUING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer VH Marshall was advised. (DD)
