THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	SILVER SALMON (C Habib), which became fractious when BONANZA (D Ashby) kicked continually in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the course veterinary surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	PERSISTANCE (K Matsunyane) was hanging in throughout.
b)	In view of the performance of KING MO (O Noach), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
c)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding SILVER SALMON (C Habib), Trainer GS Kotzen will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled before his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
d)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding BONANZA (D Ashby), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 18/12/2022 to 24/12/2022 inclusive). BONANZA may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
e)	SHE'S MY CAPTAIN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Rix was advised. (SC)
