Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	DOUGLAS (K Steyn) made contact with SUDDEN SONG (L Mxothwa) leaving the stalls, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.
b)	SOFT TOUCH (K Matsunyane) jumped awkwardly, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	WILLIAM THE FIRST (C Habib) proved difficult to settle in the early stages.
b)	SUDDEN SONG (L Mxothwa) was hanging in in the latter stages.
c)	CAPTAINS WORLD (O Noach) gave ground to the field quickly from the 700m and was eased out of the race. This gelding was attended to on course by the veterinary surgeon. This precluded Jockey O Noach from being able to weigh in. In terms of Rule 66.2 the Stewards were satisfied that CAPTAINS WORLD had carried the correct weight.
d)	CAPTAINS WORLD (O Noach) returned suffering from a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 120 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1.
