THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ONE BITE AT A TIME (T Gould) was fractious in the stalls, taken out, examined by the course veterinary surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay.  
b)	DUKE OF ORANGE (K Matsunyane) and QUENANZA (Y Ramzan) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 
 
a)	FLINDERS RANGE (R Munger) was hanging in in the straight.
b)	In the concluding stages DALEEL (M Mjoka) was awkwardly placed on the inside of TUK TUK (S Khumalo).
c)	Jockey M Mjoka reported that DALEEL (M Mjoka) did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 
d)	In view of the performance of QUESTION THE STARS (K Minnie), which finished tailed off, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding
e)	In view of the report from the Starter, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine ONE BITE AT A TIME (T Gould) post-race.
f)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding ONE BITE AT A TIME (T Gould), Trainer JP Nel will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
g)	KNAVE OF DIAMONDS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (HK)
