a)	KITTEN'S ADVENTURE (*C Dicken) stumbled leaving the stalls.

a)	An Inquiry will be opened into the ride of FAMILY FAVOURITE (*D B Geerthsen) in this race. 
b)	Apprentice M Katjedi (FATEFUL MISTRESS) briefly lost his right side stirrup iron shortly after the start. 
c)	BABY AFRICA (K de Melo) was hanging in from the 400m.
d)	In view of the performance of OUR EMILY (*R Venniker) (8.90 lengths, 5/2 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer M Roberts will be advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this filly on return to stables.  
e)	Jockey D Dillon signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he misused his crop by striking the horse ETHIOPIAN QUEEN more than 12 times in the entire race. In assessing penalty, the Board considered the number of times (15) Jockey D Dillon struck the horse ETHIOPIAN QUEEN, the distance over which and manner in which he used his crop and his record (1) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R2000 was imposed.
f)	PRINCESS DONELLY (A Arries), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer M N Prinsloo advised (HM).
