THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STAR IN WINTER (K de Melo) lost 2 lengths. b) BIG SLICK (R Khathi) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, HOPE IS POWER (S Veale) was squeezed out by IRON BARK (A Mgudlwa), which jumped out at PRINCESS TEA (J Gates) which jumped inwards. b) At the 900m, BIG SLICK (R Khathi) was momentarily inconvenienced on the outside of TRAFALGAR SQUARE (M Yeni) which rolled out. c) RENAISSANCE MAN (*R A Venniker) raced wide around the turn and into the straight. d) Jockey J Gates reported PRINCESS TEA changed stride in the running, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performances of STAR IN WINTER (K de Melo), (10.60 lengths, betting 17/2) and BIG SLICK (R Khathi), (7.80 lengths, betting 11/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) IRON BARK (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
