THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BEADED GOWN (K Matsunyane) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the request of Trainer W H Marwing, Jockey Wes Marwing (LOOKING HOT) did not carry a crop in this race. b) GREAT TIMES (*Donald Geerthsen) hung in from the 300m. c) The saddle on WHAT A TIGER (K de Melo) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by an Official. Thereafter, Jockey K de Melo accidentally dropped his crop at the 300m. d) In view of the performance of WHAT A TIGER (K de Melo), (distance 4,75 lengths, betting 9/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Jockey J Penny reported that LULU'S BOY did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) LOOKING HOT (Wes Marwing), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W H Marwing advised (MduP).
