THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	TWICE GOLDEN (*S Hlengwa) lost 1 length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	QUESTION MASTER (J Gates) proved difficult to settle in the early stages.
b)	TOM BOMBADIL (*M K Katjedi) was directed inwards between the 300m and the 200m to secure a clear run.
c)	Approaching the 200m, Jockey S Moodley (CYBER TIME) accidentally dropped his crop.
d)	At the 150m, CATCH THE TUNE (*R A Venniker) had to be steadied away from the heels of TEMPERATE ZONE (A Arries) which was carried out by TWICE GOLDEN (*S Hlengwa) which shifted out away from PAPA C (S Veale) which was hanging out and proved difficult to straighten.
e)	TWICE GOLDEN (*S Hlengwa) was hanging out from the 200m and had to be straightened on a number of occasions. The Stewards requested the Veterinary Surgeon to examine TWICE GOLDEN (*S Hlengwa) and have adjourned to review Apprentice S Hlengwa's riding of this gelding in the concluding stages.
f)	Trainer L Karriem signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 55.1.1 in that he declared Jockey R Khathi to ride COROMANDEL in this race without having obtained his prior agreement. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed.
g)	PAPA C (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D C Howells advised (DZ).
