THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	TOM'S ACT (S Veale) lost 3 lengths. 
b)	BUGSY MALONE (T Godden) and RUBY SLIPPERS (*M Zuma) lost 1 length respectively. 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	ETIQUETTE (J Gates) raced wide in the early and middle stages. 
b)	RUBY SLIPPERS (*M Zuma) over-raced in the early and middles stages. Additionally, this mare raced wide between the 1750m and 1400m. 
c)	Jockey M Yeni reported that HUMBLE TUNE took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer C Dawson will be requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this gelding on return to stables. 
d)	Jockey T Godden reported that BUGSY MALONE made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
e)	Jockey K de Melo (MAXIUMUS) and Jockey S Veale (TOM'S ACT) reported their respective mounts did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.  
f)	Jockey M Yeni signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he misused his crop by striking the horse HUMBLE TUNE more than 12 times in the entire race. In assessing penalty, the Board considered the number of times (14) Jockey M Yeni struck the horse HUMBLE TUNE, the distance over which and manner in which he used his crop and his record (0) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R750 was imposed.
g)	MONARCHY (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M Miller advised (NS).
