THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	AMERICAN BISCUIT (R Fourie) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
b)	SKYJET (J P van der Merwe) was slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	LORNA LILLY (C Zackey) over-raced in the early stages. 
b)	Approaching the 1200m, FREE MOVEMENT (*K A Brewer) was steadied momentarily to avoid running onto the heels of ALL BLACK CAPTAIN (M Thackeray) which, whilst racing with an awkward head carriage, proved difficult negotiating the turn. Simultaneously, MAMBO COME TESIO (K Matsunyane), which was directed inward to obtain cover, had to check to avoid the heels of FREE MOVEMENT (*K A Brewer). 
c)	Jockey P Strydom reported that he felt something amiss with CALIFORNIA BOY in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
d)	AMERICAN BISCUIT (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
Trainer T Zackey advised (MS).
e)	WILLIAMSON (*D B Geerthsen), placed fifth, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
