THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	NIPPY WINTER (C Orffer) jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.
b)	SYMPHONY OF LIGHT (K de Melo) jumped awkwardly with its head up, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	SHIKOKU (J Jacobs) proved difficult to settle in the early stages and was allowed to race forward and into a handy position from the 1000m.
b)	Approaching the 1000m HEAR MY VOICE (D Ashby) clipped the heels of PUCALLPA (JP van der Merwe) when PUCALLPA (JP van der Merwe) was steadied away from the heels of EVERLASTING (K Steyn) and shifted out.
c)	Leaving the 50m	 ALLENDE (L Mxothwa) changed stride and shifted in away from WHAT A STATE (A Domeyer), which rolled in gradually in the concluding stages. 
d)	Jockey K Steyn reported that EVERLASTING did not stride out freely in front. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e	Jockey R Fourie reported that ACT NATURALLY felt uncomfortable in its action. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
