THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TRIDENT KING (M Yeni) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) EARL (Wes Marwing) was slow losing two lengths. c) YOUCANTHURRYLOVE (*K A Brewer) and SOUTHERN BLAZE (*P Mxoli) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) EARL (Wes Marwing) took an awkward stride at the 100m. Thereafter, Jockey Wes Marwing reported that this gelding did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) TRIDENT KING (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Botha, acting on behalf of Trainer R R Magner, was advised (LK). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
