THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PURE PREDATOR (G Lerena) and AMBER ROCK (S Khumalo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) FIRE 'N FLAMES (D Schwarz), which raced prominently in advance of the field, tired badly from the 300m. b) AMBER ROCK (S Khumalo) was eased out of the race from the 200m. Thereafter, Jockey S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with AMBER ROCK in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) LUCKY LAD (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MS).
