THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SILVER SKY (C Zackey) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 400m a tiring TWICE THE MASTER (O Noach) was brushed on the hindquarter by MISTER MONOCLE (G van Niekerk), which shifted out marginally. b) In view of the performance of INSIDE STORY (L Mxothwa) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) MISTER MONOCLE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
