Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) The inside three starting stalls were left open to accommodate the configuration of the rail so that the field were in a position to safely navigate the initial stages of this race. It was noted that the front numbering affixed to the starting stalls had not been changed accordingly, however the Stewards, due to time constraints, permitted for the race to be started as the field was loaded in the correct respective draws. This matter will be brought to the attention of Gold Circle. b) TIRPITZ (K Matsunyane) was hanging in from the 250m. c) Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss with IMPERIAL ORDER in the running and as a result did not persevere with his ride in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examie. d) TIRPITZ (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer J Crawford acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey R Danielson was the rider of PIRATE PRINCE (advised 04.05.23/12h56).
