THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DOUBLING UP (G van Niekerk) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 150m DOUBLING UP (G van Niekerk) had to be checked to avoid the heels of BARDOLINO (C Orffer), which shifted out without correction. b) Jockey C Orffer was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of BARDOLINO he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to DOUBLING UP at the 150m. Jockey C Orffer signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. (Dates: 29/05/2023 to 04/06/2023, both dates inclusive) c) FUTURE TURN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised.
