THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	MALCOLM'S DREAM (C F Dicken) lost 1 length.
 
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	At the 1100m RUN AGAIN (A Mgudlwa) and FORGED IN ICE (D Daniels) were unbalanced when they brushed and were carried inwards by GREEN DREAM (*R A Venniker) which commenced to over-race on the inside of SHAKEN NOT STIRRED (S Veale). In addition RUN AGAIN (A Mgudlwa) and FORGED IN ICE (D Daniels) were  awkwardly placed on the heels of BIRDWATCHER (S Khumalo). The Stewards after reviewing the Patrol Film from various angles formed the opinion that there were circumstances surrounding this incident and took no further action.
b)	GIMME A LULLABY (A Arries) raced wide on the bend.
c)	OCTOBER SONG (T Godden) was carried out by CONCHITA (M Yeni) which shifted out slightly when making the final turn and consequently raced wide into the straight.
d)	MALCOLM'S DREAM (D F Dicken) was held up for a clear run between the heels of FORGED IN ICE (D Daniels) and BIRDWATCHER (S Khumalo) for some distance leaving the 300m and finished the race strongly when the run availed itself between these two horses.
e)	Jockey A Arries reported that GIMME A LULLABY did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f)	In view of the performance of SHAKEN NOT STIRRED (S Veale) (5.20 lengths, 9/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
g)	MALCOLM'S DREAM (C F Dicken), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Dixon advised (HM).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES :
a)	MALCOLM'S DREAM raced equipped with a compression mask (advised 12.06.23/08h01).
