Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	LITTLE MISS PINK (O Noach) jumped outwards and made contact with WHAT A STATE (L Mxothwa). As a consequence, WHAT A STATE (L Mxothwa) was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Approaching the 200m INARA'S DYNASTY (R Fourie) had to be checked away from the heels of SHE'S MY CAPTAIN (C Bantam), losing position, when bumped outwards by SPYWING (C Orffer), which was bumped outwards by MISS MARGUERITE (A Arries), which was directed outwards to obtain clear running. During this incident SPYWING (C Orffer) was severely unbalanced and had to be checked away from the heels of MISS MARGUERITE (A Arries).  
b)	Jockey A Arries was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of MISS MARGUERITE he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to runners on his outside approaching the 200m. Jockey A Arries signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 10 days. (Dates: 26/06/2023 to 05/07/2023, both dates inclusive)
c)	In view of the performance of COUNTRY TIME (G Wright) and DISTINCTION (JP van der Merwe), the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine these fillies.
d)	Trainers H Crawford/M Rix were charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that they failed to vaccinate SHE'S MY CAPTAIN against Equine Influenza in accordance with the program of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer H Crawford signed an Admission of Guilt and Trainers H Crawford/M Rix were fined R1000.00.
e)	MISS MARGUERITE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer ELP Steyn was advised. (TJ)
