THE STARTER REPORTED: a) UNSOLVED RIDDLE (T Godden) jumped awkwardly and lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) CAPTAIN WHO (C Maujean) was squeezed out shortly after the start. b) WHORLY WHORLY (C Habib) over-raced in the middle stages. c) Jockey T Godden reported he felt something amiss with UNSOLVED RIDDLE and as a result did not persevere with his ride from the 250m. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning UNSOLVED RIDDLE, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Suspension dates (11.07.2023 - 08.09.2023 bdi). Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M D Miller was advised (RS). e) VOLDEMORT (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer V H Marshall advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) FOREST JUMP raced without ear muffs (advised 06.07.23/10h11). b) CAPTAIN WHO raced equipped with blinkers (advised 05.07.23/18h41).
