Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RESPECTABLE MISS (K Minnie) was stubborn loading and thereafter was slow into stride. b) SOFT TOUCH (C Maujean) and STATE OF MIND (J Gates) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After passing the winning post on the first occasion at approximately the 1800m, Jockey G Pieterse was dislodged when he became severely unbalanced after having to check MAIDEN'S COVE away from the heels of HEY SIRI (F Herholdt), which shifted in when insufficiently clear. Jockey G Pieterse was attended to on the track by the paramedics in the pull-up area and thereafter was transported to hospital for further observation. b) Jockey F Herholdt was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of HEY SIRI he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to MAIDEN'S COVE leaving the 1800m. Jockey F Herholdt signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 14 days. (Dates: 16/07/2023 to 29/07/2023, both dates inclusive) c) DAME OF FLAMES, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised.
