THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DANCING DORA (*S Sosibo) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride. b) WHATYOUWAITINGFOR (R Fourie) and RED CARPET GIRL (J R Syster) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) An inquiry will be opened to establish why SIMPLY MAGIC (K Matsunyane) and GIMME THE FLAME (*K A Brewer) had to ease at approximately the 100m when MIX THE MAGIC (J Gates) shifted out away from the crop. b) LAW OF SUCCESS (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P F Matchett advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) WINGS WITHIN ME was ridden by Jockey D Schwarz (declared 8 August 2023 at 08H53). b) RISKY BUSINESS was ridden by Apprentice M K Katjedi (declared 12 August 2023 at 08H16).
