THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED

A)	Apprentice Y Ramzan reported that he felt something amiss with MADAME PATRICE in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
B)	In view of the performance of WHAT A BLIZZARD (R Fourie) (distance 4.95   -   betting 4/1) the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
C)	SATARA (E Webber) stumbled badly leaving the stalls and thereafter hung in from the 200m.
D)	Apprentice K A Brewer signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking the horse CATCH THE CAT more than 12 times in the entire race. A penalty of a R750 fine was imposed.
E)	In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning MADAME PATRICE (*Y Ramzan), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this mare is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer A C Greeff on behalf of Trainer J V A Strydom was advised.
F)	The winner PARIS OPERA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer A C Greeff advised (LM).
